Introductions and a peek ahead

Herzstich Dueling Guild is now officially kinda open for business.  We're running a "soft opening" month of classes throughout September.

In October we'll commence with our first series of classes.  This is one of the things that makes us a little unique as a school- the majority of our classes will be run in 8 to 12 week terms.  Think of it like and academic quarter.  I'll explain why this is best for the student in a future post, but for now I just want to give an overview of how this will work and how you, dear reader, can get involved.

Our first quarter will be from October through December 2017 and will cover a goodly chunk of Joaquim Meyer's Longsword instruction during our evening classes (Tue and Thur 7:30-9pm).  Our Sunday Rapier will continue from 3 to 5.  We will switch this to a quarterly system too when the time comes.

For the month of September we're only charging $20(!), then in October the ongoing dues will be $40.  Which I personally think is waaay too low, but we're all in it for the art, I guess, so money isn't an issue.  So save your money for a good pair of gloves and get a sword sooner rather than later.

If you want to come practice with us, let us know shoot us an email:

In other news, we're working on a logo and building the website. Updates on those coming soon.
